Web31 mrt. 2024 · I have seen the cheap aluminum gas blocks port openings get enlarged because hot gas erodes the edges as well the gas block ports were not aligned perfect and it burns the port in the gas block kind of egg shaped. The shop is a bit buggy and won't show it but mechanic lvl1 sells an AR15 gas block. To find it select the AR15 that you want to mod and click "linked search" on the barrel. Most mil-spec barrels have gas ports spaced around .295 from the shoulder. So it does appear that the DD block requires little to no spacing to be centered. Most gas blocks I've used are spaced between .270-.275, which is why they tend to require a gap to get perfect alignment. pishro-tech
