WebbI have Simplisafe (SS) and decided to get a SS doorbell pro. I ordered it quickly before I found out that security doorbells were being stolen from doors. I decided that it was safer to use indoor cameras with motion detectors. Little did I know that IR motion detectors don’t work through glass. This makes them kinda useless for my needs WebbI contacted SimpliSafe, who sent me their Doorbell Chime Connector device. This basically acts as an electrical bypass and has helped other customers who experienced doorbell buzzing after installation. For me, however, after installing the Chime Connector, the doorbell chime still hums / buzzes.
